History
He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honors and high distinction at Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Medicine for Boys in Cairo in 2008.
After that, he completed the residency program in basic training for neurosurgery and spine surgery and earned his Master’s degree in 2013.
He then secured a position as an Assistant Lecturer in the Neurosurgery Department at the university hospitals of Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Medicine in Cairo. During that period, he underwent advanced training in neurosurgery and spine surgery, with a particular focus on functional neurosurgery.
In the same period, he obtained his Ph.D. in Neurosurgery in 2018, specializing in the surgical removal of a severely deformed vertebra under nerve monitoring.
In 2019, he was promoted to Consultant and Lecturer in the Neurosurgery Department at Al-Azhar University Hospitals in Cairo, Egypt.
He then received a fellowship in functional neurosurgery (pain and movement disorders) at Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Subsequently, he was appointed as a Fellow in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, United Kingdom, where he specialized in epilepsy surgery, muscle rigidity, cranial deformities, and spasticity.
